Afterschool care!
While in session our Afterschool caters exclusively for school going children, from junior infants to 6th class and therefore children can engage and play at an age and developmentally appropriate way.
Conveniently situated beside the Girl’s School and Gaelscoil and a short walk alongside the playing pitches from the Boys School, children can either walk independently or be collected as parents require.
When they arrive children have a snack and are then supervised and supported to complete their homework, so that they can enjoy, relax and play for the rest of the day.
Outdoor play is a priority, weather permitting, and we promote a mix of child led and adult led activities such as soccer, hurling, skipping, races, stuck-in-the-mud, to name but a few.
We also have variety of activities and spaces indoors including the kitchen for arts and crafts or baking, quiet spaces for relaxing or reading, a playroom for board games, competitions, make believe and loads of other toy and other spaces that can be used to play electronic games, watch a movie or listen to some music.
